I had dinner at a Latin Caribbean restaurant last night and I'm still daydreaming about the dish I had...

MAN, that was good, and the jalapeno salad was what put it over the top and gave it that extra flavor. And earlier in the week, I went to a Mexican restaurant and had an awesome appetizer made of shrimp, melted cheese, mushrooms, and LOADS OF jalapenos.

I love those things. Fresh or pickled, they're great to add to soup, salad, sandwiches, rice, etc., etc., ET CETERA!!!

I bought two jars of sliced jalapenos on the way home from the restaurant last night. Can't wait to put some in the saffron rice I'm boiling this weekend.

Nummy yummy!

...but the last few years I've started using a product called Gaviscon when, every now and again, the aftermath got too hot to handle.

The tablets are best; avoid the liquid. They really work. I keep a 100 ct. bottle in the medicine cabinet at all times.

9. Honk Honk!!

We had 4 jalepeno plants until the first freeze back in December killed them. We got literally 1000s of peppers off them this year.

I slice and pickle them and my husband makes the most awesome homemade salsa.

I like jalapenos, but they don't like me back. :P
