I'm having minor chest pains...
just little, quick sharp pains right in the middle of my chest. Should I be concerned? I quit smoking 5 days ago and in the past when I have quit for this long, my chest has felt good. This is weird.

I am only asking because I am too poor to go to the doctor right now and I am sure there is a doctor here in the DU house. Right? :-)

1. You are probably fine but I would not take DUs word for it...
any chest pain is usually something docs take pretty seriously...

4. I can understand your concern.
Although I don't have an answer for you. Last night for about two hours before I went to bed I had a constant quivering, fluttering sensation in my chest in the area where my heart is. I felt OK this morning except for being a little more tired than usual.

5. This is no expert advice, but,
it could very well be nic withdrawal, too. Your body does some funky stuff without nicotine.
If it really concerns you, definitely see a doctor.

6. Don't trust us - Call your doctor
Seriously, don't get your medical information from a political website. ;-)

8. Take some aspirin and go to an emergency room
If you can't get to an emergency room call 911-it is the health plan for those with no insurance. They may ask you to pay, take a dollar with you. Don't worry the rest of us will pick up the tab and I don't mind one bit.

12. Locking.
Chest pain constitutes a true medical emergency, and you should call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately.
