IN your town who sells the best salsa. I don't mean that storebought crap. There's a place in my hometown that made real salsa. It was so good, he only served it on his meals though...didn't sell it in jars. BUt I always used to go in and get him to fill up a big paper cup full of it for me.
The name of the place is awesome. It's called "Charlie's or Carlos' Cafe"

2. We have salsa competitions here. |

I think the salsa at Curra's Grill does really well. That is one reason we have our DU brunches there. :9

3. Could tell you about twenty places that have good salsa |

The majority of restuarants around where I live are Mexican places, so I have my choice.
Tony's Finer Foods (small chain around Chicago) have a good pico de gallo at the deli, though.

I make my own. Put the reddest tomatoes I can find in a blender with fresh jalapeño peppers, garlic, green onion, lime juice, cilantro leaf and sea salt. If you want it even hotter, put in some habanero peppers. Or use a food processor if you want it chunkier.
I forget exactly how much of each ingredient I'm supposed to use, though. I just experiment.
If I buy anything at the store, here in Austin there's Rose's. Kinda expensive, but the best fresh salsa I've found yet. I don't know if it's available outside Central Texas though. There's also Hell on the Red, which is kinda runny but still much better than Pace or any of that crap. In fact, even H-E-B's own salsa is better than Pace.
