Any Diabetics Who Have Tried Glucerna
for weight loss? If so, did it work? I was diagnosed with
Type 2 Diabetes last May. I have dropped about 18 pounds,
but seem to be stuck. I still have about 50 to go.

My problem is that most diet drinks make me really hungry
about 90 minutes after downing them. Any input would sure
be appreciated. Thanks!

18 pound LOSS in 7 months is OUTSTANDING...congratulations !!!!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

you're working on a TOTAL lifestyle change to save yourself...just keep it up slow and steady....assess which DIET drinks make you hungry...is it DIET soda? DIET 7-up/Fresca/orange pop/Faygo-Red-pop type drinks are good for me, while I hate diet pepsi/coke crap...... have you tried Kool-Aid?, buy packs of regular Kool-Aid and add saccharin (my favorite sweetener)...do you like coffee (regular or de-caff)...I like caffe latte with decaf coffee and low-fat milk (some calories from the low-fat milk).....how about TEA? tea is a GREAT habit to pick up, there are LOTs of different kinds, some have caffeine, some don't, many flavors, and you can become a local and exotic EXPERT and entertainer, along with different tea brewing pots, tea-balls, cultural influences, etc. etc.....I also drink NA beer (Non-Alcoholic beer) in bars (some calories NO alcohol), and Bottled Water (but mostly I keep the cool-design bottles, wash them out, and put my Kool-Aid in them)....I like Crystal Light (but there are some calories there, not TOO many), especially the new tangerine and orange juice-type stuff....try making your own FLAVORED WATER (you can buy in grocery stores, but it has high sugar) I make my own by adding a 'little' bit of fruit juice to tap water in my designer water bottles (use 100% fruit juice, and just a little for flavor, don't ever buy those 'fruit drinks' with only 10% fruit juice and the rest is sugar)......

you'll lose more now that the holidays are over...even small cuts in fats (switch to spray oil for frying, or just bake/microwave/George-Foreman-grilling-machine) make HUGE weight loss...and choose fresh fruits and vegetables over anything else (fills you up and tastes good)....LOOK at the food labels on ALL meats and chicken and frozen food that you buy, it WILL surprise you how much FAT is in food....cut out fats, choose meats, chicken, frozen foods with low fats because it's usually HIGHER QUALITY FOOD...I'm convinced that FAT/GREASE is added to everything to disguise poor quality food....check out low-fat soy sausages for breakfast, or soy burgers for dinner....go with low-fat/no sugar ice cream...there are LOTS of good foods available today (unlike a few years ago) AND it makes for interesting shopping and learning.....read food labels (I choose foods with UP TO 10 to 12 grams sugar, because that's tolerable, and somewhat natural in yogurts, etc....more sugar is NOT GOOD)....

Keep up the good work...and put your hand over your shoulder to PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK for loosing all that weight.....go buy yourself a nice new outfit !!!
