Some Fun For My 900th! Favorite Christmas Gifts, 2004!
Edited on Mon Jan-10-05 11:29 AM by MarianJack
Given: Ruby ear rings to my wife and a train set to my son! Their faces lit up!

Received: 2 books from my wife. "The Godfather Returns" by Mark Winegardner and "Green River Running Red" by Ann Rule. BTW, did any of you know that the Green River Killer was a fundie?

What were your favorite gifts?

1. Mine:
A beautiful oak finish jelly cupboard from my mother, for the kitchen. The front looks like a pie safe with bronze metal plates.

My brother: The copy of America (The Book) by Jon Stewart I gave him.

My cats: the little fuzzy balls that came with the catnip pellets.

My Mom: Lands End pants I got her.

My friend: the little bag that came with the Bath and Body Works

Did I make out in this deal, or what?

22. Good call on America
I got one for my brother and one for my bro-in-law, and both of them loved it ... I was a tad worried about giving it to my brother, since he is mostly pretty conservative, but it turns out he's a big fan of the Daily Show (and he thinks Stewart is a republican :silly:)

6. My Wife Gave A Homemade Afgan...
Edited on Mon Jan-10-05 03:14 PM by MarianJack
...to my Mother-in-Law! She croceted (spelling?) scarves for both moms and is making an afgan for my mom for Mother's Day.

The photo is special. I'm touched by reading that you received it. Isn't it wonderful to know that others love the ones we love, too?

Has Yu-gi-oh taken the place of Pokemon? I hear about that but haven't seen Picachu in a long time!

8. Netflix
Because I'm using it almost every day. Gives me the movies you can't get at Blockbuster.

Tomorrow, "Atomic Cafe" and "Reefer Madness" should be coming in.

24. If So...
...you know what your 2017 gift will be.

BTW, one of my favorite Hollywood Squares/Paul Lynde lines:

Peter: "Paul, what does it mean when you're sailing away from Hawaii and you throw your lei overboard?"

Paul: (singing)"The partys over!"
