Shakira or Britney Spears?
I'll take Shakira in a heartbeat. She is sexy, talented and speaks against Bush in her concerts. Britney, as we all saw on Fahrenheit 911, has full confidence in the president.

1. Shakira
better music, better singing, better dancing, better politics, more attractive and not a teeny bopper sellout. I've always loathed Brittney though so I may have some bias

10. Shakira. I like her music better.
Sha has a very unique voice. I haven't heard any of her music on the radio recently. I wonder if she'll be coming out with anything new soon.

I listened to "wherever, whenever" when nobody was looking,( one of those cheesy pop tunes you hate to admit you like). I like the video too. I have never liked anything Britney has done , even with nobody looking.

21. I bought a very cool barbie type doll of Shakira this summer!
I love her! shes my mascot! even has a guitar that plays "whenever wherever"...

But yeah as far as the real thing goes, its nowhere near a fair fight.
Shakira kicks ass, I love even her older "im an Alanis" take off stuff. I know that that is just execs making her do her thing in their way!

long live Shakira!

Her music doesn't translate well. When she sings in Spanish, you can tell it's straight from the heart.

27. Don't know
In terms of who seems more likeable as a person, Shakira. Britney comes across as an airhead, pretty vacuous as a person. Although after reading one interview (I think in Rolling Stone) with Shakira where she sounded as if her views on the role of women were set back in the fifties I lost a little of the faith I had that she was different than the rest of her pop ilk. Of course, this is all based on the perceptions I get of these two from the amount of entertainment media I keep up with; I honestly couldn't begin to say what they're really like as people. I guess it's harmless to speculate, though...

Lookswise, I have to give the edge to Britney... ashamed as I am to say it...
