Seriously, Abbott is all cute & snuggly tonight - but I swear if that guy had opposable thumbs and knew how to use them, he'd ditch me in a heartbeat.

Whatcha thunk?

1. They'd still need disposable income to be independent

If she had opposable thumbs she'd probably spend all day playing videogames. She is quite lazy.

3. This is a really fascinating question....

Even with total independence possible, I believe my boy dog would want to stay with us. His pack includes me, my partner, our next door neighbor, his wife and their two younger girl dogs. He is the "pet" in both households and he receives tremendous amounts of attention.

Champion weights in at 75 lbs and loves snuggling. He could never give us up.

4. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!
Sorry. Answer = yes.

My cats could feed themselves, let themselves out, etc.

All they'd need me to do is change the cat box, and if I didn't do that, they could just crap on the floor.

I'm merely an accessory to their lives....

5. Heh, the life of my dog:
A walk every day, hours lying in the sun, free food and treats, lots and lots of petting and attention...hell I'd be my dog if I could, opposable thumbs or not.
