Anyone else here ever use a DU posting window JUST for the spell-checker? |
|
I have to admit I do that.
I don't have MS-Word installed on this computer, and sometimes I click the "post" button just to use DU's spell-checker.
The most embarrassing part?
Sometimes I find I actually needed it.
Am I alone in this?

8. Bastardized your language? |
|
Why can't you just admit we perfected it?
Moreover, what's up with the overuse of s, e.g. bastardise, criticise, empathise etc.? It's a zee sound for Gawd's sake! Use a freakin' z!

9. I have just returned from the shop to find |
|
incorrect spelling.
This might help you to understand correct English useage Ms FS. Useage as in shmoozlage. So there!
"My Lord, I do here, in the name of all the learned and polite persons of the nation, complain to Your Lordship as First Minister, that our Language is extremely imperfect; that its daily improvements are by no means in proportion to its daily corruptions; that the pretenders so polish and refine it have chiefly multiplied abuses and absurdities: and that in many instances it offends against every part of grammar." —SWIFT
