Poll question: Best Doctor Who |
|
Of course to us fans he's simply "THE Doctor" but I wanted to be specific for the non-Whophiles

|
the definite article you might say.
Nothin' but the 4th doc for me!!!!
Doctor number 6 is pretty close though.

3. Does Peter Cushing count? |
|
Even though he played The Doctor on the big screen?

4. In terms of personality, or which stories were best produced? |
|
Big difference.
Doctor 1 was great, especially for the first 13 episodes where he was an anti-hero.
Doctor 2 was just great.
Doctor 3 was great early on (anti-establishment), but eventually got as soft as the Brigadier
Doctor 4 was great but got out of control later on
Doctor 5 was great
Doctor 6 was great
Doctor 7 had his moments, but was too much a manipulative bastard for my liking
As for produced stories, I'd say that Tom Baker seasons 12-14 (Philip Hinchcliffe as producer) did the best job.
But each Doctor and each producer has his/her better examples of stories.
