8. Yeah, it's cold for the DC Metro area.
But relatively speaking, not so much. It was -54 in Embarrass, MN.

20. Oh my god, I don't feel sorry for you.
WHO CLOSES BECAUSE OF THE COLD?

It's going to be negative 5 here tomorrow! I'm still going to school. We've had school at -20 degrees before!

The only time we close is when it's sleeting + freezing rain.

We don't even close for snow!

27. you are shitting me
not opening school because its cold.. and I just checked, the low is 13 degrees in Fairfax. Not sure exactly where your town is. While that is cold, its not exactly life altering cold. You guys up there are as bad as the Texas people. A few years ago the let school out early in Austin because it MIGHT snow. Not a single flake had fallen, but the possibility existed.

24. Because of the cold?
You must be kidding. Really? I was laughing last week when all the schools closed around here after an ice storm, buncha babies. We might actually hit 32 tomorrow, it has been several weeks since that occurred. Seriously?

Kidding about closing schools because of the ice, there were about 8 school busses in ditches the next day so it was a good idea.

26. Just Great
The kids get a two hour delay from school but I do not get one from work. I will have to work late now.

At least I will not have to wake the kids up in the morning. It is always easier when they wake themselvs up.

It was 60 last week, DAMN
