Big ass snow on the way to Philly... |
|
Everybody have their French toast supplies stocked up???
And what will this do to Sunday's Eagles game???
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR 10 TO 15 INCHES OF SNOW...
A DANGEROUS AND SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM WILL AFFECT THE ENTIRE AREA SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY. A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, ALL OF NEW JERSEY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF COASTAL ATLANTIC COUNTY AND CAPE MAY COUNTY, NEW CASTLE AND KENT COUNTIES IN DELAWARE AND CECIL, KENT AND QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTIES IN MARYLAND.
THE UPCOMING WINTER STORM WILL HAVE TWO PHASES. THE FIRST PHASE WILL FEATURE VERY HEAVY SNOW SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY EVENING WHERE THE MAJORITY OF THE ACCUMULATING SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO FALL SO HEAVILY THAT NEAR WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS ARE LIKELY WITH RATES REACHING ONE TO TWO INCHES PER HOUR. THE SECOND PHASE OCCURRING OVERNIGHT SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY WILL FEATURE LIGHTER SNOW, BUT CONSIDERABLY STRONGER WINDS. THIS WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF WHAT IS EXPECTED TO BE A VERY POWDERY SNOW. THIS MAY CAUSE BLIZZARD CONDITIONS AT TIMES.
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE INTO EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, EASTERN MARYLAND, DELAWARE AND SOUTHWEST NEW JERSEY LATE SATURDAY MORNING AND THE REST OF NEW JERSEY BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON. TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE WILL AVERAGE 10 TO 15 INCHES ACROSS THE ENTIRE WARNING AREA.

2. It Will Hit Us, Before It Hits You. |

Not to worry, the Falcs and the Patriots are already in Pennsylvania.
Look for Belichick to stop the run and make Rothlisberger pass to beat them. Both games are going to be great. And the snow just adds to the luster.

7. We're expecting 4-12" in Pittsburgh (reports vary) |

The grocery store was utter CHAOS. I waited in the checkout line for 20 minutes (not bad, considering that the lines were approximately 200 people long!) There were NO carts when I entered the store; I had to go out and importune a leaving customer for one.
I'm supposed to attend a bar prep class tomorrow morning at 8:30, but if it's snowing when I get up (as it's supposed to be), I'm skipping it. I can review Crim Law later - it's not worth killing myself over.

but isn't going because it will be too ugly cold. I don't want them either I'm not leaving the house till it melts.
I hate it when it snows like this here. It's pretty in Tahoe but in the Philly Burbs it's just a mess.
Of course the local Super Fresh (Boothwyn) is jammed and the bread and milk is gone already.

6. Gonna hit us in NJ, too. And funny 'bout that French Toast thing… |
|
…I woke UP this morning thinking about French Toast. When I got downstairs, I decided that tomorrow would be better for it and had oatmeal instead. That was before I knew the blizzard was comin'.
So I have that French Toast to look forward to as I watch the flakes fly by…

is going to get brushed with it too, however, they say by the time they add Lake Effect snow from Lake Ontario we will probably get about 14'' to 16". It is already -5 here and it is only going lower. The winds are supposed to pick up too. Lovely isn't it?
Stay safe everyone.

9. What the heck is ass snow? |
|
Here in Minnesota, we just get the regular white kind of snow. If you are getting ass snow, it's probably because of what you did to my Vikings... Have to say, though, I've not seen the guff from Philly that other cities are putting out when their team advances, so, Thank you for that!!! you still deserve ass snow though... :P
