Poll question: How should I respond to my dittohead co-worker?
Edited on Thu Oct-02-03 09:46 PM by JanMichael
We have a reichwing person in our office that listens to all of the reichwing radio shows.

There will be an inevitable comment made by someone, as Rush continues his slide into hell, should I....

11. Nah.
Fact is that I already had the radio turned down so I can't hear the filth from my desk.

It's actually a pretty calm environment.

3. Start converting ....mention the 87 billion down payment over & over again
Couldn't vote....my choice is "Work them over".....87 Billion dollars out of their pocket, added to the 70 billion from 6 months ago...plus the future payments.......keep saying "it's your money, it's your money"...that they may understand.

... the line about "personal responsibility. I believe when you reach out for that drug, you make a choice, each and every time."

Cheers.

8. Talk about treatment for drug addicts.
Tell them what a shame it is that our drug "policy" relies so heavily on incarceration......... I'm sure you'll have an eager listener.

10. I just ignore
the reichwingers at work. Confronting them in any way makes me feel lousy later, and they never change views anyway. I often have a temper tantrum and feel rotten if I say anything, so I recommend ignoring them completely.

12. I work with a dittohead Bush lover, too...
She was ominously silent today. She didn't say anything to anyone, just put on her headphones and went to work. I didn't have the heart to mention 'Treasongate' or the Limbaugh fiasco. A couple weeks ago, I volunteered to give her a lift home from work, starting next week (stupid, huh?), since her husband would have to leave work early to come and get her. Let's hope the subject of politics doesn't come up--we get pretty heated. I won't say a word unless she, or someone else brings it up.

13. Call them on their lies
insist they give you sources. Don't back down. Make them be specific and detailed in all allegations. Ask questions. Do they agree wtih Perle and Wolfowitz? (if they don't know who they are, you're not dealing with educated opponents). What do they think about the gutting of the "No Child Left Behind" program? Whatever you do, don't be intimidated. Our future is too important. Don't let the bullies get away with spreading lies. Call them out.

16. Paste a picture of Limbaugh
over a target. Get some darts. If Limbaugh's name comes up, invite him into your cubicle and let him watch you fling darts at the big turd.

17. I love the smell of blood in the morning
Here was my email to my freeper:

How are you today?

Well, I have to say that I haven't felt this good in, say, um, three years or so.

"Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that all to the poor.
Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns at chess...
WAIT 'TIL THEIR JUDGMENT DAY COMES..."

It's always so interesting when when the wheel turns back, I think.

Suddenly, I feel like there's more oxygen in the air or something - I don't know. Life just seems a little more rewarding.

19. walk into the room with a box of safety glasses
give a pair to everybody present, then smash the radio into little pieces with a baseball bat. Then collect the glasses back into your box and stroll out of the room without saying a word.

21. Praying for him
Tell your coworker
That you wish Rush all the best
And you'll pray for him

And then when you leave
Quietly laugh to yourself
At the fall of Rush

:)

You should not keep your emotions inside for the sake of making a moran feel better. So do a little dance, snicker at the radio, and feel intellectually superior because you were always right about that idiot. You don't have to say anything (Praying for Rush comments are optional), but I suggest gloating in a manner where the dittohead does not have a clue. Thus, exploiting his cluelessness to maximize amusement.

Dittohead: "So why are you so happy?"
JanMichael: "I heard some very good news."

I'm kidding (on the square ;)). Freepers have so much to feel bad about that we have to get our laughs in, before their destruction just becomes sad.
