Why do so many people spell "Lose" as "Loose"!? |
|
Am I just getting so old that the English language has changed under my nose? I see this mistake SO often here.
Am I missing something?

38. My keyboard always does double keys. VERY ANNOYING! |
|
My old computer never did that, but something with this new one... I'm a quick typist, an for some reason, the faster I type, the more likely it is to interpret a single key as a double one.
I've watched very closely, and it's NOT ME, so don't necessarily blame the typist - blame the keyboard.

49. or how about the computers that do short term freezes? |
|
I had one in college that would freeze for about a half second, every ten seconds. VERY annoying while writing a paper. But still, it's easier to make a joke about insensitivity to Parkinson's than it is about malfuntioning computers. :P

|
Mrs. Miller at Valleywood Middle School. She was one of the best teachers I ever had-crazy as a loon, but a great teacher from the old school.
We had spelling tests twice a week. If you got 100% on Wednesday, you didn't have to take it again on Friday. The cute hockey player who sat behind me and I were the only ones who never had to take the test on Friday.

We need to be much more careful about these spelling and grammer mistakes. It drives me crazy to! Specially when these are the exact same mistakes my English teacher use to hound me about! The offender's think their not causing any harm, but their making their message incoherent, and bringing down the image of DU.
Irregardless of that, I could care less if people make these mistakes, but use you're SPELLCHECK AND DON'T TYPE IN ALL CAPS WITH RUN-ON SENTENCES OKAY GOOD I'M GLAD YOUV'E GOT IT!
