So I just watched the movie "Open Water"...
If a director hired the cameraman from "The Blair Witch Project" and a couple of actors from a late-night Cinemax softcore porn movie and mixed it with promo footage of an oceanfront time-share condo this would be that movie.

I was tres dissapointed...

1. I rented that a couple weeks ago
and was not impressed. I didn't think it was harrowing and whatever else they said it was. And the ending sucked!

3. Finally, people agree with me.
Everyone else here seems to think it's a masterpiece. People here practically called me a barbarian with no taste (seriously) for not fawning all over it.

5. And stupid, too...
They had fins and wet suits. 35 miles to shore? They could be there tomorrow.

6. I thought of that.
I chalked up their failure to do so to the "current" issue. I still don't understand why they didn't swim for the buoy.

10. Doesn't cut it...
Australia is a big target. Just keep to the same general direction (by sun or star) and you'll get there.

11. I don't know anybody who dives without a compass...
it doesn't seem like it would be too hard to point yourself in the right direction, even without visual references.

12. There are few movies that pissed me off more than that one
To think of the money they made by putting out a piece of garbage that probably only cost them 50 bucks to make. What a disappointment.
