Pets - that's how the shrub sees the Iraqis... |
|
that term just came to me. It's not unlike poppy's referring to his grandchildren as the 'brown babies'. We know he has no regard for the American people; he shows so much disdain when presented with American problems. We're only here to fund him when plays war. Unfortunately, the man-child is playing with real lives.
Back to my original thought, it was just bothering me how he treats various groups, for this example the Iraqi people. I finally realized that it reminded me of how some people treat their animals. Maybe not pets so much as zoo animals. He's overcome with emotion because he thinks he's taught his animals a new trick, how to vote.
Sorry, I think the wine has made me rambly, but it has bothered me to no end how he treats everyone as beneath him. How he fawns over every conquered people as a new shiny thing for his collection, and treats the rest, us included, as a dusty old toy he's lost interest in.

1. The media's fascination with 'dancing in the streets' |

Oh, look at the primitive culture. They're all dancing! Dance, voters, dance! Of course, their votes were tied to food ration cards weren't they? I guess I would dance too.

Oh, look! Aren't those happy, dancing Iraqi voters quaint?

I'm so glad someone else is nauseated by those shots. This thing started out as a pop-your-popcorn, let's watch the shock and awe explosions spectacle and is continuing as some bizarre National Geographic special.
