best score if you're trying to score?
Suppose you want a "quiet dinner for two" to develop into an evening of slap-n-tickle. What artist/CD do you put on? I just got Baja Sessions by Chris Isaak, and damnation, that may be the most romantic album i've heard in years. He channels Elvis, Orbison, and Ricky Nelson, and the instrumentation is amazing, especially the guitar by Herschel Yatovitz. I might even hit on Lynn Cheney if that were on.

What's your recommendation for mood music?

8. Even Older School...
Nat King Cole or Johnny Mathis. If either of these satin-voiced crooners fails to melt your love interest's heart, she's totally oblivious to romance - and it's good you find out now!

9. Nat is on my short list too
if you can find his old stuff, w/ the NKC Trio, give it a listen. He's a helluva piano player besides singing great.
