Vatican promotes evolution (positively) |

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope John Paul's overall medical condition is "evolving positively," the Vatican said in its latest health bulletin on Thursday. The statement said the breathing problems that had required the Pope, 84, to be taken to hospitals on Tuesday night were receding and that he had not suffered any further throat spasms.
"The Holy Father's general condition and his respiratory condition are evolving positively," the brief statement said

that if you believe in God, you can't believe in evolution, anyhow? Who's to say God didn't create the whole shebang using evolution? Well, it should make people think. I don't their use of the word evolving this time though.

On evolution your quite right. The only dogmatic necessity of Christianity is creation ex nihilo, what processes God used thereafter are His business. Also many Theologians suspected that the earth was old way before scientific evidence suggested it - this whole 6000 years nonsense is a modern invention of the fundamentalist movement.

I meant to reply to the earlier post which seemed to be defensive, but I guess, in retrospect, I was actually replying to the next post, which hadn't even been posted yet, as it was really defensive ... unless they weren't being defensive ....
OH I GIVE UP!:shrug:
