Does the manufacturer have a web site. Maybe a solution there. Or just google it. There are auto problem web sites that might offer a solution.

It froze up on me one winter. I remember a pair of plyers and a hammer were involved in getting it off. It was in pieces when I got done. Then I went to the auto parts store and got a nice non-locking gas cap.

Why is your gas cap locked? Do people steal gas by you? Or gas caps?
Need a new cap, go to a used car lot after they close, easy part to , ahem, acquire.

you might have to go to a mechanic to get them to remove it,cheaper than a locksmith.only takes a minute.offer them $5-10 to do it.
