I called the police and they said that they'd check it out, but that's all I know right now. I hope she's OK.

I've been wondering about the situation since yesterday...

Seems like they would be a bit more urgent about such a thing.

3. They're probably required to wait
unless they have very strong reason to suspect that she's in danger.
It probably takes time to figure out who the woman's family is and where they are, as well.
