I think I've said enough...One of the best live shows, I've ever been to. Perfect Circle is good though.

Tool's drummer is incredible, especially on Lateralus. Maynard has the best dramatic sense of any rock vocalist since... oh, I dunno, Peter Gabriel, maybe? Musically, they have excellent compositions with deep internal structure (as far as rock goes) and lyrics that don't assume stupidity on the part of the audience. And the listener occasionally gets small-but-healthy doses of Bill Hicks through osmosis!
What more could you ask for? Tool is fine.
