Okay, so I'm listening to "Bat Out Of Hell" by Meat Loaf. |

Am I crazy for loving this classic album?
How can you not love Phil Rizzuto doing play-by-play on "Paradise By The Dashboard Light"? Or "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad", the funniest love ballad ever recorded?
Hell, even Bat Out Of Hell II is great, even though it's a blatant sequel with lots of old Jim Steinman retreads.
Discuss.

2. Oh Boy, does that one bring back memories |
|
Paradise by the Dashboard Light....
My twins' dad and I used to sing the male/female parts to each other.
Every time i hear that, I think of him. he committed suicide, so it's always a bittersweet memory, but I can still see him belting out that song....
"Lemme sleep on it. Baby, baby let me sleep on it
Lemme sleep on it. I'll give you an answer in the morning..."

4. I still laugh my ass off everytime I hear "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad" |
|
It's a takeoff of an Elvis song, but it's a bit meaner. The chorus goes like this:
I want you I need you But there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you But don't feel sad 'Cause two out of three ain't bad
Now THAT'S great songwriting! Pass over whatever Jim Steinman was smoking.
