4. I think the big gaping sores on her face |
|
Have notified all far and wide.
(Of course, she is spayed.)
She actually has a condition called pemphigus, which is a very serious immune-deficiency problem, wherein basically the cat rejects its skin, and she gets these horrible oozing things all over.
She's been doing once-weekly injections, plus steroids, but now she's developed this herpes thing and so now she's on Interferon 2X daily.
again, <sigh>

5. Did they also check her for |

FIV? My cat, who passed away at age 14 was diagnoised with FIV and had sores all the time. She passed away a few years earlier then average but still not bad for a FIV cat. She got it from a male alleycat who cut into our screen porch and beat her up pretty badly.
Of course it does sound like you know what youre talking about. It just made me remember how I found out Oscar (female) had FIV.

Sorry about your Oscar (great name!), but I'm glad she got as many good years as she did. Yeah, this cat's been to every doctor in town (and even out of town). My husband is so attached to her, I think at this point we're committed to doing anything...

10. No, but I do drive her every Monday am |
|
in rush hour to pay the vet to do it.
She's happily chattering away at her catnip computer mouse behind me, so she still has her sense of humor! :-)
Thanks!
