7. THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR LUBRICANT!
That's my favorite scene from the movie.

I recorded that scene from my DVD.

8. Its a lot like Ghostbusters. And I love Ghostbusters
therefore, I love Evolution.

Best line is in the trial:

"And, Dr. Kane, do you recall what happened to the soldiers you treated with your vaccine?"

"Well, they didn't get anthrax... ...ha, ha, yeah..."

9. Disappointing
Tries waaaay too hard to be funny and falls flat waaaay too much.

Duchovny can't do broad comedy. "His range of emotions covers the spectrum from A to B" (to mangle a quote from someone -- David Merrick, maybe)

But an OK rental if you don't pay more than 2 bucks.

11. hated that movie
solid cliches, but not believeable as a parody kind of deal. plus, their "chemistry" deciding what must be poison hurls me into a rage every time..."arsonic is this many down and over from carbon, so if we apply the same thing to silicone...":argh:

12. hahaha
i don't think they were going for all truthful facts.
Just a comady about aliens that multiply.
i could say the same thing about Mars Attack, with the aliens not having brains :)

13. o i know
but i mean, they could have done something a tad less lame; you know, "discover" that this chemical does something, not that wierd-ass counting-over method. anyway, it had a few good moments, but like someone said, it tried too hard to be funny, when it could have been a decent flick

16. You're the kind of person
who would get mad at Airplane 2, when the guy opens the window to throw his cigarette butt out. You'd say... hey! They don't have openable windows in spacecraft!

Aren't you? :P

Or like my friend at work, who doesn't like The Matrix, because its whole premise is flawed. He says, "but it's a closed system! You can't use human beings as a source of power because there's no new energy entering the system from outside!"

I'm like, hello! This is called fiction!

17. i love airplane
my point isnt that it should be realistic...

suspension of disbelief is of course the central part of fiction; but there is a point where you think, "hey, thats just frickin stupid." for me, this is one such situation. hey, im a fan of mel brooks, for god's sake, if you want to talk about random inaccuracies.

if the premise is funny, then ill let it go; its just funny. but when they have totally unneccessary stupidity like that (i mean, c'mon, just say you "did some experiments, and chemical x works!" it doesnt take away anything) i dunno, maybe its cause i think the whole movie is lame, maybe its because i used to be an engineering major, or maybe its because its 4 in the morning :)
