1. All the time, which is why my junk list is always on. |
|
My favorites are Viagra and other drugs. What makes them think I need that? Can they see into my bedroom?

3. Yes! I just got a notice from Wachovia that I was approved for $150.000! |
|
All I have to do is transfer my mortgage over to them for a "home-equity line of credit!" I was shocked! How the hell can they pre-approve me for $150,000 credit without knowing what equity I really have in my home? Who has done some kind of check to see what my home is worth over what I paid for it?
Can you imagine the folks who will be suckered in by this kind of thing? They said the checks would be in the mail for me to use if I just signed and agreed to the contingencies listed on the back of the form. And, those contingencies said I would owe them up to $1,000 in transfer fees and they could change the interest rate at any time. :wow:

7. Tons of the crap. I looked into refinancing once. I had 5 years |
|
left on my mortgage. The least amount of years I could get would be 15. Yes the interest rate was 4 point less then I now pay. But I had to come up with $3500 in point for the loan. I figured out that if I put $3500 on my current mortgage, in a year the amount of interest I would be paying on my current mortgage would be the same as the "new and improved" mortgage. Yes, my payments would be $500 less a month, but that is all principal. I would rather get my house paid off with the current economic mess that's coming rather then try to pay a mortgage on social security.
What a racket.

10. yup and in the mail too.......I have no mortage just a home equity loan |
|
which I use as a slush fund to do things or buy old cars with. I like being able to write off the interest and not having to go to the bank to get a personal loan.
