So I saw the movie "Hide and Seek" last night.
The one with DeNiro and Dakota Fanning. It was pretty good. I have to admit I was 90% through before I figured it out.
Then I came home and felt like shit.
Totally undid all the floaty, happy feeling I had from seeing "The Wedding Date" the day before. Dammit.

1. I don't think I could sit through a scary movie
like that -- even the previews creep me out! BTW: :pals:

2. I'm with you. I wish I hadn't gone.
Although I must say that it was the first "scary" movie I have seen in awhile that wasn't totally predictable. I honestly didn't know where they were going with it.

I want to see "Hitch" next weekend when it comes out.. with Will Smith. That looks funny and I love Will Smith!

:pals:

7. Last weekend for some unknown reason, I ended up watching
Night of the Living Dead and Resident Evil.

I had to turn it over to Nick at Night and watch some Fresh Prince to get to sleep.

I think my imagination just goes into overdrive with those movies.

I think Hitch looks great. I love Will Smith and Kevin James. I saw Kevin James do stand up on Comedy Central one time and he was hilarious.

Back to scary movies...I prefer to watch the TV editted version...I'm such a wimp. :)

4. Every so often, I forget what they do to me and I'll watch one....
The Sixth Sense was the last one, I believe. It was a great story, but I had nightmares for weeks.

5. I know, I don't usually like them either but lately I've seen
two. This one and "Saw" .... and I regretted both. That's it I'm done for another ten years!

10. Yes!!!!! It was TERRIBLE
I DO NOT recommend if you do not like scary movies. Some of the worst things I have ever seen in a horror movie.
I couldn't get some of those images out of my mind for two weeks. It's not a good thing to do to yourself. :(

16. I don't think I could sit through a Dakota Fanning movie
"child" and "actor" are two words that rarely belong together

12. This admin is enough horror show for me.
I don't like scary movies. Actually I don't mind being scared in a movie if that's not the whole point of it. Some flicks we have seen at home the last month that were really great:
Il Postino
Shower
Anchorman (we were all laughing out loud, especially the fight scene. Plus there's a slam on Bush at the end. )
Children of Heaven
Together

We had a run of good luck and some great flicks.
I really didn't like Sideways though. I guess I'm the only person who didn't. But it had a great tailgate party!

Can't think of a scary movie I actually enjoyed.

Favorite all time flick- Down By Law!!!!

13. So Anchorman was funny huh?
I've debated picking it up at the video store but I wasn't sure if it was actually going to be funny or just cheesy.

You're not the only one that didn't like Sideways, I've heard a lot of people say they hated it. I didn't even know it existed until the Oscars and now there is a buzz, so NOW people are going.

A buzz doesn't always mean it's good.

What was it last year, that About Schmidt was nominated? People started talking so I went ahead and rented it. I thought, you have to be kidding me, after I saw it. I guess I didn't find the "story" in a self-centered, retired guy in a late life crisis driving around Nebraska in a motor home, feeling like a "do-gooder" because he sends a few bucks and a self indulgent letter to a child in a third world country. That was the whole movie... sorry about the spoiler for people who didn't see it. But I guess Jack Nicholson with a comb over made people think OSCAR, OSCAR, OSCAR.

14. It's actually cheesy funny.
It was ha ha funny for me, tears rolling down funny for my kids. (teens).
It was perfect for us in between the others.
In Sideways speak it's a reisling.
Let me know if you liked it, or hated it , or what. Ya I thought the same of About Schmidt, thought I did love As Good As It Gets. But Anchorman was a kick in the ass.
Kolya! A great movie!
And in the horror category I can say I loved Attack of the Giant Leeches and The Brain that Wouldn't Die but those were Mystery Science Theater so its satire & may not count.
Aloha!

15. Have you seen Happy Texas?
That's a good one for laughs.
Makes me smile just thinking about it.
Drags a little toward the end at one point but overall really funny and wonderful.
I love Wayne Wayne Wayne, Jr.
