3. It was interesting
that the commercial overtly stated what the underlying big truck/SUV message has always been: "it makes you tough." In the past, they've always at least pretended that these vehicles were aimed at people who have a real use for them...

41. That was a good ad.
Because it does reveal the formula for these Super Bowl ads, and how annoying they become when you're aware of said formula.

Plus, Burt Reynolds makes me laugh for some reason.

24. But the children, ALago1, think of the children!!
Edited on Sun Feb-06-05 07:07 PM by Rabrrrrrr
Watching large grown men display violent behavior in an effort to out-Mars one another in a homoerotic close physical dance of bodies is a good, Christian, family values thing! The kids don't need to be knowing that women have breasts during such a pure, clean, Christian show like the Super War On the GridIron and Patriotic Man-on-Man AssSlapping and Groin-Grabbing Fest.

Breasts are dirty and filthy and librul and Satanic!!

23. Weird Bud Light ad
Two guys sitting in a bar, describing their fantasies:

- A hot girl, Bud Light .. a second hot girl.

The guy ends up on an island with his beer and two hot girls, who proceed to bitch him out about some household stuff. He amends his fantasy, ending up with a bottle of Bud, a dog and a grill.

I'm usually not particularly receptive to feminist rhetoric, but this struck me as somewhat .. reactionary. Women/dogs/grills as interchangeable commodities? Women as nothing but a nagging hassle in a man's life?

Maybe I'm overanalyzing this.

83. Pretty *#$*^%* disgusting, isn't it?
Makes me sick to think of that shitnoggin' no-talent fool in a story that is as close to sacred in the science fiction canon as can be.

Disgusting.

And directed by Steven "I don't so much tell a story as I do rape the shit out of it and make sure to tell you exactly how you are supposed to feel" Spielberg.

Utterly disguting.
