That is, if I like to feed my children, have lights, a phone, etc.

I dont wanna go to work tommorow!
In fact, I felt that way this morning as well!
Damn, if only I could win the lottery, I wouldnt have to go to work ever again.
My problem with going to work isnt the work, but the trip getting there and back. I used to have a car, and it took me no more than a half hour to drive there (I prefered the side streets as opposed to the freeway because I enjoy the scenery and the slower and less traffic). Bur my car broke down and I cant afford to have it fixed, so I take public transportation to and from work. The end result is that it now takes me 2 and a half hours just to get to work.
I have to walk to the bus stop (about 20 a minute walk), then take the bus to the train station (a ten minute ride), then I have to wait almost an hour for the train. Then I take the train a couple of stops (another ten minute ride), then I have to wait around for the bus for almost an hour and take that bus (ten minute ride) directly to work.
In all, I spend about a half hour on the buses and train. The remaining two hours I spend out there in the cold/rain/snow. Walking to the bus stop and waiting around for the train and bus, exposed to the elements.
And then when I'm done with work, I have to do the same thing, but in reverse. Another 2 and a half hours to get home.
How I miss the convenience of my car!

7. I wish it was more accessible |

I used to live in the city where there was public transportaion 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And I lived within 5 minutes walking distance of not one, but several bus routes and two subway lines. Then almost a decade ago I moved out to the suburbs where a car is a necessity. The nearest bus route, only one, is 20 minutes away on foot. And that comes only once every hour. In the city I could count on a bus coming once every 5-10 minutes.
And the buses in the suburbs run only about 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. No buses on Sundays. It runs on Saturdays, but it stops running earlier in the day.
