So what are you getting your sweetie for Valentine's Day?
I'm in need of inspiration. So what are you folks getting your sweeties, or yourselves, for VD?

1. Or yourselves for VD??
Freudian slip, perhaps?

3. My Freudian slip is showing!
Totally unintentional. But getting yourself something for VD would be a real shot in the arm, wouldn't it?

2. I'm getting myself a 12-pack.
And spending it with the ones I love (my computer, my beer, and myself).

I was going to get myself a leopard-print thong this year, but that would just be wrong in so many ways.

5. warning- you are going to get a bunch of whiny responses
that sound like this:

"I hate Valentines day. Why do I have to buy flowers and chocolate? Flowers die and I hate chocolate."

I got my honey a guitar effects box. It's red...he's gonna love it!

6. Single people suck
Okay, kidding, I kid! Put down the flamethrowing singletons! Back away from the box of matches, you dateless freaks!

My sweetie is getting me something big, so he says, so I'd better cough up a gift, too, or else.

10. Well, what is he into?
I went with the practical gift this year.

The past few years were more romantic/sexy like fun sleepwear/sex toys/candles.

But he needed this effect box bad and someone here was selling one at a great price.

And he's been so sick, I think I'll get him a full-body massage at a day spa near his office.

Hmm... I've been working a lot, and I've been sick. Maybe I'll get a couple's package!

And one tip, if price is a consideration, you might want to check around to massage schools in your area. Sometimes they offer low priced massages from graduates who just need practice.

yes, I am a massage therapist!

It's early in the relationship. She is definitely more of a lingerie type than a chocolate and flowers type. I don't know her size, though.

And you can't lose. Just make sure she can exchange it if she wishes. Failing that, get her a silky, sexy kimono and a pair of peek-a-boo slides.

18. If you're going the exchange route, make sure you lay out some $$$
You don't have to spend a fortune, but if it's something she's probably going to exchange, you want to make sure you're not going to be embarassed when she finds out how much you spent on her.

48. Funny you should mention that...
There is this one 'special' Chinese buffet in downtown Houston that serves the world's worst barbecued pork ribs. It's not that they taste bad, its just that they cut them so poorly that they are full of bone shards and you will tear your mouth to pieces trying to eat one. It looked to us as if the carcass hadn't been butchered but instead just dropped in the middle of I-45 to let the traffic take care of it. So we dubbed it the Road Kill Buffet. We reserved this special place to host going away luncheons for people who had been particularly obnoxious during their tenure at our company. If you had your going away luncheon there, you knew that you managed to piss off pretty much everybody.

After a while it became a matter of water cooler gossip and side bets to guess who would be the next person to merit the dubious honor of eating at the Road Kill Buffet.

51. Well, your 17-year-old is probably too old for this
and the other may be too. Back when we were absolutely broke and the kids were little for Valentine's I put red lipstick on the kids and had them kiss a piece of paper. I then framed it in a heart-shaped frame and gave it to their dad on Valentine's. We still have it. :)

Then, he'll tell me he forgot his wallet and could i lend him the money, but he'll pay me back. (Like he doesn't already owe me about $5,000!)

Same thing every year. Useless, no job havin', thug.
