3. We just said goodbye to my Mother in Law, who hasn't been getting |
|
along with me lately. Basically, three hours of her trying to get my son to leave my side and "cuddle with someone who really loves you"...sigh.

I can't imagine having in-law friction. My MIL lives 5 hours away and is a nice lady. I've never had a FIL. My BIL lives in Denver and my SIL and her weird hubby are too intimidated by us to even visit. Evenso, they live 6 hours away.

11. My "MIL" was a non-stop talker. |
|
We'd go visit her in lovely Lawrence, MA, and I'd hear her talk about EVERYTHING that happened to her since the last visit - minute by minute, "and then SHE said, . . . and then I said, and then THEY said, and then . . . " Gawd, the woman could talk without breathing.

It's early on a Sunday morning, and you're walking around in your undies. That happened to me today! :P

We don't really pray. Anyway, do they make a prayer for people like you?

12. Thanks to 'ster, I am hopeless.... |
|
The nadir came during the Cuban Missle Crisis when 'ster railed on for days about how we should all be in a state of grace because we were all going to die immediately if not sooner. Then I came home to my mother who was dealing with that event by threatening to drink all the booze in the house... And that would have been quite a task....
I thought Unitarians prayed "To Whom It May Concern"?
