Worst guest ever on the Daily Show tonight
Did you all see the Daily Show tonight? The Trawler guy was insane. You could see Stewart thinking, who booked this guy? I've never seen such a bad guest on a talk show. Stewart looked like he was in misery.

The bit on the Gates was brilliant. Right on target.

1. Stewart looked horrified
and like he wanted to bang his head repeatedly on the desk.

Edited on Tue Feb-15-05 12:53 AM by DulceDecorum
Jon asked if they could do it over, it (Val) was so awful.

3. missed that one
though I suppose you could see a reason for booking a movie star like Val Kilmer, even if he is an idiot (not having seen the interview I don't know if he is an idiot). I just kept wondering why they drug this guy up. I know Stewart was thinking the exact same thing.

Kilmer was seriously spaced out.

5. a crazed Englishman
who went out on a trawler for two weeks. He wrote a book on the experience. Only when he talked about it he made very little sense. He spoke in a stream of consciousness fashion. It was boring, only Stewart's reaction did make it funny. He tolerated the guy for a while, but at a certain point he knew the show was in the toilet, so he tried to inject a few laughs with his facial expression.
Check out the rerun for the first segment on the orange Gates in Central Park. That part was really funny.

10. Annthrax?
Ann Coulter? I missed that one. Before the last couple of months, I didn't watch the show religiously. I got TIVO and tape it now. I meant worst in that the guy was completely incomprehensible, and Stewart looked to be in complete agony. He just didn't seem like the kind of person who had any business being on television. It was funny because Stewart managed to save it, since his talent is tremendous. They guy himself was something else. ADD is probably an accurate observation.

11. LOL. WTF was it???
okay, I got that it wasn't really a sailor's penis. So it's some sort of prehistoric snake that squirms around the bottom of the ocean? I'm glad I'm on land.

14. Yeah, some kind of eel or fish or something...
...he was going on about how it ejects this kind of slime from this pustule that smothers sharks.

See, you don't learn this kind of stuff on MSNBC!

16. A worse guest than Karen "toadying butt licker to the Bush family" Hughes?
That's saying quite a bit. I thought that she was The Daily Show's worst guest ever.
