Am I the only one that doesn't mind a little bit of chaos in GD?

Not like it can actually hurt anyone and it does seem to bring out impassioned comments.

As to losing quality threads? I lose them too when then beehive gets poked, it's the nature of the beast.

First it was Dean, Dean, Dean! Then Wesley, Wesley, Wesley! Then CIAexposers! Then OxyRush, OxyRush, Oxyrush! Then Ahnuld, Ahnuld...Then RUSH, RUSH, RUSH!

No biggie. I like seeing people get excited, hell panicky even, over Politics.

It keeps us sharp, maybe not so focused, but hardened and sharp.

So to all the GD Cranks (Of which I am sort of one): :toast:  :toast:  :toast:  :toast:  :toast:  :toast:  :toast:  :toast:  :toast:  :toast:  :toast:

2. My bad.
I get candidate amnesia after about 3 weeks of others droning on about them.

Thanks, I'll correct it poste haste:-)

3. I am a free speech extremist. Chaos doesn't bother me

I don't think there is any point of view that is so irresistibly attractive that it must be muffled

4. At the risk of spoiling the spirit of the Lounge,
I would say fine. You can still post whatever chaotic stuff you want...right here in the Lounge.

Or as a response to a post in GD.
Or in Politics and Campaigns.

I don't like restricting things unneccessarily either, but what is wrong with trying to create a place, one place, where the format encourages a more reasonable discussion? Are "reasonable" people always to be at the mercy of the forces of chaos?

5. I think we're using different meanings for chaos.
I was simply refering to the speed and intensity with which the threads explode or vanish. Or even the overload of a single issue like Ahnuld or OxyRush.

It wasn't an attempt to smack the new rules, which I like, but to point out that it isn't as bad a place as some might suggest.
