Name one thing your pet did that you thought was funny or cute.
I have had a few dogs and they all did funny things. One that sticks out to me though was for a while we had an American Eskimo. One September day, I was laying on the floor in front of a fan. I dozed off and took a short nap. I woke up and streteched my arm be reaching back. I could feel something furry, and I raised my head and found the dog lying right near me with her head close to mine just sleeping.

13. I am waiting for that one
Stella goes off leash in a decrepit nursery I have been trying to tidy. There are garbage piles (wooden boxes, plastic pots dead plants) she loves to tunnel in. It's out in Woodinville, and I know she's picked up the scent of wild things in the piles. She gets very excited doing that.

Are Rat Terriers' tails recurved if not docked?

2. One time during dinner
Our cat Newman (may he RIP) was doing his typical mooch routine and was sitting on the window sill watching every bite each of us took. He was so pre-occupied with what we were doing that he failed to notice that the new kitten, Siouxsie (who was about 1/3 of his size), below him on the floor.

Siouxsie jumped up, wrapped her paws around Newman's neck and took him DOWN.

We laughed so hard we almost choked.

This is Siouxsie now.

The siamese mix (below) is Newman when he was just a kitten.

4. My Siamese mix uses tools to remove his collar
we finally quit putting it on him. He would wander around the house until he found a convenient outcropping to hook the collar on, then work away at it until he managed to pull the collar over his head.

6. Many years ago, when I had a cat. . .
One weekend afternoon after playing a softball game (following a long night of partying), I came home and fell asleep on the couch. I found about a week later, from a picture that my roommate had taken, that my cat had wrapped herself around my neck and taken her own nap. Awesome picture, which is around the house somewhere; awesome cat

7. My chihuahua Ollie
would run in circles chasing his tail.

The funny thing was he would keep on running in circles even after he caught it.

8. Buddy....

He was part of a group adoption of three dogs, the two girls were pregnant and I set up angel in my bedroom after her pups arrived. She is an eskiee mix so I put a box fan in there to keep her cool. I decided that Buddy should come in and visit with his sons. He had lived as an outside dog before he came here and wasn't housebroken. He checked out the pups then went up to the downwind side of the box fan and "marked" his territory. The only thing he marked was himself! I was laughing so hard I couldn't even scold him.

They are all house broken now and happy.

10. Althea does that to my computer :)
She loves the top of the monitor because it's warm, but she has to have that tail and hind leg hanging off :).

11. My Dot has pulled a couple
I found her at 7 months old on top of the refrigerator. (This is a dog that weighed about 80 lbs. at the time)

And once in the yard she jumped up at a bird...and caught it. Was horrified when it just laid there and wouldn't get up and play with her.

16. My 6 month old Chocolate Lab Cachou
got acne on her chin. I rushed her to the vet last week thinking she had some horrible disease...it was acne, go figure. Cute though. She is obsessed with stealing the bathmat, I think it's a piss. She goes bizerk if a doorbell rings on TV. She snores...loud. She gets into the shower with me. She goes behind the sofa and sticks her nose up in the air, looks funny. She's a constant source of entertainment actually. It's something new and cute everyday. Smart pooch, I love her.

19. As a kitten, Scarlet followed me into the bathroom...well, she actually
came running in, and as I was urinating, she jumped up onto the toilet edge, and almost fell in! You could see her trying to regain her balance, and forcing herself to fall backwards!

Her sister, Melanie, as a kitten, came running into the bathroom when I was in the tub, jumped up on the ledge, and actually fell in! I tried to dry her off, but she was having none of that. She just kept licking herself, and I was amazed at how quickly she could dry her fur.

20. I once had a fish named Indigo Van Gogh...
He was pretty cute. Every time I would leave for a trip home and have my room mate feed him he would never eat. I swear that fish was smart. And damn loyal too! Who ever said a fish can't be a woman's best friend?

22. Another Xmas picture
But if you look closely it's actually another dachshund. It's our last doxie, Max. He was king of the house and he knew it. And he was none too thrilled when we adopted our beagle (he kept waiting for her to "go home.") Apparently (based on the look on his face) including her in the annual FAMILY Xmas picture was just too much (she'd only been w/ us about 3 weeks.) We didn't notice until we sent out the picture w/ our Christmas cards and so many friends remarked at the way the dogs are looking at each other. It's so plain he's thinking "What is SHE doing in the family picture??!." And she's looking back as if to say, "I'm here to stay, get used to it Bub."

23. My Sophie
Likes to crawl up on me while I'm Asleep. She has three walks- the really careful, cautious walk, the where's-the-fire walk and the every-little-thing-gonna be alright walk. I don't have a boyfriend,so I'm glad to see when she's been "spooning" me.
