Need some feedback
I'm thinking of ditching Cox cable.

Let me explain, I have Cox cable for my bedroom which until last week included HBO, Stars and forget the other. This is no longer. They've excluded these packages, now get just regular cable. Rates increased.

I have digital (costs more) in my living room including all cable stations. Rates increased. I think I'm getting ripped off.

Let me add I also have Cox telephone services and Cox high speed. If I add everything together guess I pay Cox $160.00 a month.

Should I change? Is there somewhere I can get a better deal for all three services?

2. I don't know where you live....
but where I live Cox is the only player in town. I hate them so much I do not have cable. I never had good luck with their customer service and I felt they were way over priced. I spent many years moving about the country and several times cox moved into the area bought out the small local company hiked the rates and service dropped so after several times of this happening I am so anti cox we only get what we can get on the 'bunny ears' antenna.

6. Cox
Customer service sucks but so do all companies. I had it with trying to make contact with Cox or with voice mail.

3. My boss gets Cox
and pays a lot more than I do for Dish Network. I think you can get Dish Network with over 100 channels for less than $70, and you can add HBO, Stars, and the rest. (Personally, I just get 10 channels for a little less than $16 a month). I think you could get all you have now-and more-for less money. They are always running specials where you can get multiple room hook ups, etc, too.

5. I have Time Warner
2 digital boxes, all the HBO channels and Starz, and the others have the basic cable with HBO, Roadrunner internet access and it's $123 a month, up from $118. The phone is Verizon and runs about $100 so yours doesn't seem too bad. How about Dish? I'm reluctant to switch to that because I would still need Roadrunner and don't know how reliable the tv reception would be.

7. I might be reading this wrong
basically our the rates are the same.

Okay, the only difference is, -- I don't have digitial in my bedroom.

But, my phone bill is usually $24.00 a month unless I make long distance phone calls, never over $32.00 a month including talking long distance, and my family and I can get talking--- usually politics, then I have high speed at $30.00 a month.

In all actuality I pay $98.00 a month for cable, one TV for digital, the second for reg. cable. If I want to have digital in my bedroom $8.00 more a month equals 106.00. a month.

So, if we look at high speed internet, phone bill and cable, maybe they are not out of line. Am I wrong?

8. Pretty close
I have two phone lines and the repair package on the phone and get 50 minutes free long distance so the phone isn't as bad as it seems. The extra digital box I have is about $12 more a month and I am going to drop the Starz, no one watches it I just keep forgetting to call. I got to say that the Roadrunner is pretty good and I had a problem last week with not being able to access a particular web site and they were pretty persistant in finding out what it was, it took about 4 hrs but they didn't just ignor it.
