Does Anyone Here Watch "Desperate Housewives"? I'm hooked. |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-20-05 10:11 PM by Kathy in Cambridge
The Only shows I've been hooked on in the past are "Seinfeld" and "Sex and the City". I guess this show is like "SATC" in the suburbs.
I really like it-especially Susan Meyer. Marcia Cross (Bree) is amazing as an obsessive compulsive tight ass.

1. I just saw it..I'm "hooked", too. |

They make it interesting and funny. It's very different..Marc Cherry has himself a winner.

and even though Bree is a caricature, she still has depth and a little humanity.

Why every time I see a snippet of that show, the younger housewife is always diddling some teenage lawn boy? Seriously, whenever I flip the channels through, and I see Desperate Housewives, she's making out with some kid!

I really love this show, and generally speaking, it's more textured and engrossing than "Sex and The City".

Now I guess I should go get gang-raped in a prison laundry so I can say I did that, too. It'd probably be more enjoyable.
What a STOOOPID fucking show! Makes "Dallas" look intelligent.

I think it has some of the best writing on TV. Tonight's episode was awesome. I love all the plot twists.
Marcia Cross is brilliant in the role of Bree. I love her character, even if she is a Reagan-loving NRA member. She just needs a wake-up call, lol.

Last night's plot was great! My Sundays are always spent watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition and Desperate. :D One of the things I really like about the show is that I don't think any of the cast/writers/etc. had any idea how big the show was going to be. When the cast did the Oprah behind the scenes thing, it looked as though they all were having such a great time. It really comes through on the TV.

it reminded me of a "tales of the city" by armistead maupin type of story. I like it and I don't care to watch many tv series. I thought it was simplistic dark comedy. this is a good thing. I forget when its on so I havent watched it since I watched the first episodes back to back. I truly got a kick out of it though.
