Mother Ill After Son Seasoned Chicken With Marijuana

PRAGUE, Czech Republic -- A 51-year-old woman has been hospitalized in the Czech Republic after eating a chicken her son seasoned with marijuana, the news agency CTK reported Monday.

The news agency said the woman from Ostrava, 218 miles east of Prague, was aware of the unusual seasoning, but fell ill after eating the dinner last week and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Her 20-year-old son has been charged with illegal possession and production of drugs and faces up to five years in prison if convicted.

Maybe the chicken was undercooked and has salmonellar or something of the sort, but eating something "seasoned" with marijuana won't result in you being "rushed to the hospital."

7. I've heard of weed-laced potato salad

but I've never heard of anyone rushed to the ER because of it. Food poisoning (or deliberate poisoning) is more likely the cause.

Almost makes you wonder if Matcom had something to do with that...hmmm... :silly:

Many Many years ago, soon after returning home from the service (where I became a connoisseur), my older brother and his wife wanted to try smoking pot. This went alright for a couple of sessions. Then I came into some really kick-ass redbud. My brother and I toked one up.

He freaked on the stuff, sweating and hyperventilating so bad I got up and walked him around and talked to him for an hour. Completely blew my high.

Anyway, I found out later that they called the ER to find out what to do for an marijuana overdose! HA

Soon after that they went to church, became Jesus freaks and I couldn't stand to go around them for a couple of years.

... people will be sent to a hospital after eating high doses of the evil weed. In addidtion to the unpleasant effects of too much cannabis, circulatory problems may appear.

We had two cases in Germany I remember well, where this happened. One was when a drug squad officer served some cake to his fellow cops, laced with three ounces of the best hash. Another one was a pupil left some hash cake in front of the teachers staff room (a custom at hat school), but at a less hefty dose.

don't ya think? I mean, marihuana must have been one of the main ingredients to actually make someone sick. Or maybe it was just really good and she got high and got all paraniod or something.

I remember years ago, some kids "I knew" fed their dad some pot brownies. All it did was get him off the couch and dancing to some rock n' roll for an hour or so. :smoke:
