7. Superstitions Rule!
I wore my Wrigley Field Bleachers t-shirt during each of the Cubs wins in the NLDS. I didn't have it on for the two losses.

Then I wore it Tuesday for the start of the NLCS, and they lost. I didn't wear it yesterday, and they won! So now I'm not wearing it again unless they lose.

No self-respecting A's fan roots for the Yankees. Just remember a 2-0 lead in the series can evaporate in a heartbeat.

10. Go Sox
I told a Yankee fan friend of mine that I thought the Sox would win in 6 and he asked "Six centuries?" So then this morning I said "Sweep baby sweep". His answer was something along the lines of "sweep this" but I'm excited, nervous, and anxious for tonight's game. :)

I hope it's another game like last night...I was able to get through it without Tums.

Enjoy, everyone.

14. Pettite will be tough. Lowe might be tired.
Good to see Manny turning it around, though.

Is this the game Nomar breaks out?

No offense to Maribelli, but I'm more confident with 'Tek's bat in the line-up.

It should be another good one...

45. Yaz was famous for doing it in the clutch
he ended both the 1978 Buck Dent game and the 1975 series by popping up.
But i am worried not. Pettite had to (and was expected to) come thru tonight or the Yanks were toast. Like i said earlier, the Yanks are playign catch up now, not us.
Saturday is big. It's the whole series.

Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 11:00 PM by DemsUnite
They peaked claiming the enemic Central Division. After 12 in row, they were never the same...

I never said it was going to be easy, but for the first time in a long time the Sox are playing as a team. And for the first time in a long time, the Yankees LOOK beatable in October.

Go ahead, compare the Boston Red Sox to the Minnesota Twins. You are setting yourself up for disappointment.

60. No doubt.
The Twins couldn't keep up with the Yanks in the regular season or the postseason. Still, the Twins did quite well versus the Red Sox in the regular season (taking the season series 4-2), and we just don't know if the Sox can keep up with the Yanks in the postseason.

Maybe they will, and maybe they won't. I would say that every game with Pedro on the mound is a must win for the Sox, however.
