I protested bush today, ask me anything
I would estimate that a few hundred people showed up in Manchester NH today to protest the shrub. While he remained behind locked doors and reportedly said the economy is doing great and the war is going swimmingly we attempted to tell the truth on the side walk. We yelled, chanted, waved signs and generally had ourselves a grand old time.

I saw signs supporting Dean, Kucinich, Leiberman, Kerry and even a diehard Graham supporter. There was even a small contingent of bush supporters that were politely ignored.

The best signs were "Healthy Forest initiative? More like leave no tree behind," "Cowboy up! It is time for a regime change here at home," and my favorite, "Nice job dufus."

My favorite moment was when a young pub driving an Expedition called me a socialist (how did he know?) and told me to get a job. What socialism and being employed have to do with expressing my opinion I am not sure, but that's freeper logic for you.

7. 1st this year.
I haven't been active enough, but I found out I am getting laid off a little while ago and have since stopped being the loyal worker bee I used to be. That frees up more time for little things like taking our country back. I am going down to DC in a couple of weeks to do some lobbying.

My sign was the Cowboy Up! one I mentioned in my initial post.

Redneck Socialist!! I couldn't get there, unfortunately. I couldn't work the 2 hour drive into my work life, this morning. I am so bummed out.

I heard NO mention of demonstrators on NHPR.

Pubs always assume protestors are unemployed. It used to gall me in my antinuke days - I'd have to plan a month ahead to get a day off to protest at Seabrook, and some asswipe would be yelling at me to get a job.

200 demonstrators turning out in this Republican state?
Yahoo - and good work, Redneck S. I'll catch you at the next demonstration.

9. Hope to see you there
We got a brief (I mean one sentance) mention in the midst of NHPR serving as a mouth piece for bushco. I was disappointed, they are usually fairly balanced. As far as I know channel nine didn't cover us at all, but no surprise there.

10. Channel 9 sucks
the big wangola. I wish they had some competition. Our state has piss poor news coverage. The biggest paper in the state is the Union Leader, and the only TV station is so right leaning as to be ridiculous. Fair and balanced? Not in NH.

At least we have the NH Gazette. ;-)

NHPR has dropped the ball for the last 2 days. The awestruck celebrity coverage of Arnold was making me bilious yesterday. :puke:

15. We gave him hell, when he came to the Bay area
About 1000 of us( tuesday morning), not including the ones that could not get there because they shut down the only street to get there. We gave that lying sack of shit hell. Tons of armed riot police, looked like a scene out of Orwell’s 1984. I swear there were only about 12 Bush brown shirts there. They are out numbered every time bush shows up. Good job!
