One of U2's best- "Tomorrow" |
|
Won't you come back tomorrow Won't you come back tomorrow Won't you come back tomorrow Can I sleep tonight
Outside Somebody's outside Somebody's knocking at the door There's a black car parked At the side of the road Don't go to the door Don't go to the door
I'm going out I'm going outside mother I'm going out there
Won't you be back tomorrow Won't you be back tomorrow Will you be back tomorrow
Who broke the window Who broke down the door Who tore the curtain And who was He for
Who healed the wounds Who heals the scars Open the door Open the door
Won't you come back tomorrow Won't you be back tomorrow Will you be back tomorrow Can I sleep tonight
Cause I want you...I...I want you... I really...I...I want...I...I... I want you to be back tomorrow I want you to be back tomorrow Will you be back tomorrow Won't you be back tomorrow Won't you be back tomorrow Will you be back tomorrow Open up, open up To the lamb of God To the love of he who made The light to see you He's coming back He's coming back I believe it Jesus coming
I'm gonna be there I'm gonna be there mother I'm gonna be there mother I'm going out there And you're gonna be there...
Just thought I'd share this- I've been listening to it for an hour now!

While you bit off your nails? Are you dealing with some issues tonight?
What album is that song on? I've never heard it.

3. Well, I'm sorry you're stressed out |
|
and that I'm too far away to help relieve stress.
Rattle & Hum is the oldest U2 album I have, along with their first greatest hits. Mostly I have their newer stuff. I like it all.

4. All of their shit is great |
|
I'm discovering their older stuff, and it's brilliant. I don't necessarily think they're "better" or "worse" than their new stuff- just different sounding. It's a pet peeve of mine to hear they now suck when really, they're just evolving, as all music does. Plus, we all know Bono is god.

and I like Pop too. A lot of people said they sold out with Pop but I don't see it that way. They needed to do something different and they did it well. If they ever sold out for an album it was the one after Pop when they went back to making songs that sounded more like their older albums that people wanted to hear and more suitable for top 40 radio.

6. "Lemon" from Zooropa rocked |
|
It was a very different sounding album- so what? I liked it as well. (But I'm glad they returned to their, ah, older stuff)

7. Thanks for the nostalgia!! |
|
I had a '72 Superbeetle with liscence plate "OCT U2" back in 1984. Saw them on the Unforgettable Fire tour...one of the best concerts I ever saw. Another one I really like is "Drowning Man" on the "WAR" LP.
Cheers!!
