5. I know...I just have an emotional connection to it...

8. You're quite right.
The whole problem with "nation-building" in the Middle East is that you are dealing with groups of people who - now and in Lawrence's time - have very little in common.

The British dealt with it by simply drawing countries wherever they saw fit. You can see what good that has accomplished...

9. I have a question for people who've seen the film:
Do you think the two boys who become Lawrence's servants are related somehow, like brothers, or are they lovers? They seem exceptionally close.
