My theory as to why we haven't been visited by aliens.
If they are like us, they would have killed us and taken our food.

If they are NOT like us, they would have killed us and eaten us as food.

1. They have visited us
I've met some aliens. Not very chatty. Poor dressers.

4. Sometimes I joke
that my brother is really an alien from Pluto. He claims Jupiter. LOL. If I was an alien I wouldn't stay here too long. I'd be annoyed too much by all the nonsense. Unless I was in another country of course.

2. Well, considering that our solar system contains no
other habitable planets, and that the nearest star is six light years away (that means it would take six years to reach it if traveling at approximately six mlllion miles an hour), the aliens haven't gotten here yet, even if they're on their way.

Which is probably a good thing.

6. You're assuming space isn't bendable
Space can, and does bend just like a sheet of paper. It's entirely possible that six light years can be traversed almost instantaneously. Of course we can't do this with our current technology, but maybe in 10,000 years we'll have the ability. Alien civilizations might be millions of years ahead of us.

5. We wouldn't be able to spot an alien, even if we wanted to
Their technology would be so advanced as to make them appear as gods or some force of nature. They could be all around us and we would never know because our capacity to perceive them would be minuscule compared to their abilities.

15. Man... You're like missing the whole point, man
We would be like fleas to them. They would take us in and nurture us in a small lab, per haps perform experiments on us, but it would be OK because we wouldn't know the difference. We would just think that our gods weren't favoring us at that moment. We would soon learn the difference though and love our new alien overlords and worship them as our masters. ;-)

is possible, they destroy themselves.
