She is addorable! I brought two kittens in to live with six dogs, so far they are forming alliences and sucking up to the dogs in charge.

14. She did at first. But Mystique went quickly into "Doggie Shutdown Mode."
She barely moved the whole time I was rubbing her belly. That's how it always works.

22. Sounds like a numb arm and a very happy pooch!
How does it feel to be a hero?

Certainly after a half-hour belly rub you are more than a hero to your cute pup.

23. That dog has been my saving grace these past few days.
Not to mention that she was excellent company when I had the stomach flu a month ago.

I must admit, the existence of dogs on this planet challenges my Atheistic views!

25. It is almost a sad comment on the human condition that it takes
either our misery (when the pups give us comfort) or their hardships (when we realize we need to give that extra love as there might not be much more time to do so) before many of us (or at least I speak for myself) take real quality time with our pups. Mine took seriously ill a year ago - and we have had much more serious quality time ever since. Suddenly I realize much more peace as a result. May you feel better soon - and may your pup keep bringing you peace and visa versa.
