Whine whine whine bitch bitch bitch moan moan moan.
How about we do nothing in this thread but whine and bitch and moan?

Here's mine:

Some of you might know that week before last I had such bad food poisoning that I yacked and dry heaved for HOURS on end. Some of you also might recall it was so bad I injured my jaw doing it, on the right side, where the upper and lower jaw comes together (TMJ).

Well, tonight my husband comes home from work and he was being REALLY overenthusiastic while hugging me and decided to kiss the right side of my face and neck multiple times and really HARD. I swear I saw stars. I just sucked in air it hurt so bad, I couldn't tell him (couldn't speak the pain was so bad), so I was just trying to pull away, but he thought I was kidding around, so he just kept doing it.

Dear God. He had totally forgotten that side of my jaw was really hurt. In his defense, he did feel AWFUL when I finally pulled away and said through gritted teeth "My JAW!" That's about all I could say. And how can I gripe about someone that affectionate? But DAMN!

Now it hurts worse than ever. I mean, it's throbbing. He's always been that way. He forgets that I'm sunburned, comes up and claps me on the back. Thinks he's tickling when really he's stabbing you with his fingers. He's not passive-aggressive, he really isn't. He just doesn't know his strength. I've had to teach him to be really careful about roughhousing around with our daughter.

So what's your gripe for tonight?

6. Somedays are better than others
Boy, does that sum up my life lately.
I'm probably the biggest optimistic, upbeat chicka there is- I LOVE life, I LOVE people, I love everything...
But then when I crash, boy, do I crash.
I don't feel like talking to people lately, except for two close friends and the SO- they understand why I get so down because of politics.
I've just had a "90% of people can piss off" week. I feel anti-social lately.
Ah fuckit. I just want spring break to get here.

It wouldn't have been so bad if it had stopped after oh, about five hours. But I dry heaved about every thirty minutes for more than twelve hours.

Who takes conference calls in the middle of the night? Is it from somewhere in a different time zone???

37. For The First Year...
... I had her professionally groomed. But then it got to be too expensive, and I got braver and tried my hand at grooming her myself. A little trial and error, and you get the hang of it. Also I'd never give her a FULL head to toe grooming. Just a little here one week... a little there the following week. That way... just in case I goofed, it wouldn't be so obvious and an ALL OVER mistake.

She's squirmy in the tub... but she tolerates it. For the blow dry and haircut and nail clipping routine she's very patient and cooperative. Occasionally she'll give me big loud sigh to let me know when she's had enough. "SIGH! Hurry up! Sigh! It looks fine... enough already!"

We're supposed to brush her DAILY (according to the books) but she gets brushed every three days or so. Now that she has her adult coat, it doesn't tangle as much as her puppy coat used to do. Even when she's due to be brushed, her coat is still very smooth and silky to the touch. As an extra bonus... her breed is one that doesn't shed.

Look at all that typing... how embarrassing... I'm like a grandmother talking about her grandkids. LOL@me!

38. Hey I found it fascinating.
I have a terrier mix who is long-haired and requires grooming. I do bathe her in between groomings, but I've gone the opposite way--I used to groom her, and now I just give up and take her. They do everything, nails, ears, bath, grooming, little bandana (LOL), teeth, the anal glands (yikes), the whole nine yards. And she smells soooo good when she gets back from the groomers.

The real warning sign is when you have a professional portrait done of your dog. And yes, I have. Where's the blushing icon?

My mother in law has a Shih-Tzu named Margaret, who is black and white. She DOTES on her. Only gets bottled water and the best food money can buy. She CARRIES her up and down the stairs (no reason to, she just wants to).

When my mother in law first told me Shih-Tzus don't shed, she has a thick New Jersey accent, and I thought she said they don't shit. I was newly married to her son and didn't want to be rude, but I kept sitting there thinking "Now HOW in the hell do they not SHIT?" My husband knew what I thought I heard and corrected it for me, laughing.

41. A Dog That Doesn't Shit??
OMG... that's hysterical. I just finished laughing so hard that now I've got a case of the hiccups!

Anal glands... yuk. I express them every time she gets a bath. I just hold my breath and keep the sprayer handy for a quick rinse off... then we hurry to lather up the bottom area.

Fortunately Mitzi only has 3 dark claws. The rest are clear/pink and it's easy to avoid clipping into the quick. For the dark claws, it's not so easy... but we manage. Even when it bleeds a little, I've got the quick-clot powder close by and there's never any more than a spot of blood... not even a full drop. And she's so patient about it.

>> The real warning sign is when you have a professional portrait done of your dog. And yes, I have. Where's the blushing icon? <<

I'm sure that's not too far off. I can see it happening.

What's your terrier's name? How old is he? Does he shit? :hi:

Thanks! What would we do without our furry friends, huh? --- We'll have to get together for a puppy-play-date!

That's the "carefree natural" look... I like it. Do you ever wonder what wild Shih-Tzu's and Silky Terriers did before people came along to groom them? Were there packs of French Poodles and Bichon Frieze that would hunt small animals?

35. They shouldn't make fun of you for whining.
TMJ can get quite serious. I used to have it and mine got so bad I had to have surgery on both sides. I used to be a big time gum chewer in high school and it eventually ruined my jaw joints. My jaw actually locked shut for 6 weeks before I realized it wasn't coming unhinged on its own. It had locked before, but always corrected by itself within a couple of hours. I could only open my mouth about 2 inches. So, I became "the worst case scenario" for the oral surgeon. Surgery on both sides, 5 days in the hospital (back then, 1984) huge pressure bandages on my head afterwards to keep swelling down, throwing up blood because I swallowed so much during the operation and 4 months of physical therapy after to learn to keep my jaws aligned correctly and stretch my mouth to get to open wide again. It was no picnic.

39. Ouch.
Yeah, I noticed I can't open my mouth as widely and clenching my teeth together hurts, too.

Also I tried to yell the other day (don't remember why I was yelling, but I think I was trying to get my daughter to come in from outside) and I couldn't do it so well. I never realized how much you have to open your mouth to yell.

It damn hurts. My right ear always feels like I have an ear infection. I'm hoping this resolves itself, it doesn't sound as bad as your case. I did try to chew a stick of gum yesterday and quickly spit it out.

:-(

How are you now? Did it get fixed?

43. It was fixed with the surgery.
It's fine now. But I still stay away from really chewy foods like gum, taffy, etc. I never bite into anything really hard either. No crusty French bread, no biting into apples, I cut up apples to eat them. I have found that when I do eat the hard/chewy things my jaws get tired of chewing and start to ache a little. My jaws sometimes still click or crack, but not too often. I do have a mouthpiece I am suppose to wear at night so I don't grind my teeth, but I usually forget to put it in. Good Luck. :hi:

Where in the hell is the 9 billion dollars of American tax money. How dare you preach your word of god too me then sleep with your best Friends wife. I'm sick of the media thinking I'm dumb. What the hell, Tampa don't get Air America Radio. Dam stupid people with their heads up their ass. I'm so sick and tired of breathing jet fuel, and smog from the electric company 6 miles away. Now? my republican neighbor wants my help when a huge corporation wants to build across the street from her. the Gaul of her asking me too sign her petition to stop the building. After she voted for a mass murder, drunk driver, pot smoken, mad man.I hope they put the parking lot in the front of the building so she can stare at cars all day. Shit I got to cut the grass, and pull weeds.
There I feel a little better.
