10. Funny coming from someone who...
starts a "I'm sick of the _______ bashing going on here" (fill in the blank with vegans, homosexuals, you name it) just about every day.

23. I have seen some on here
And I have taken the liberty of commenting on those posts. There have been many posts on the ribbon magnets. The magnets I have mixed feelings on, but the posts have been along the lines of the people with these magnets are blindly supporting evil. Now, I would agree with that if they had a big "W" sticker as well, but not just the yellow ribbon magnet.

:)

2. I owe my life to a member of the US Military.
The US Military is responsible in a direct way for my very presence here in the US and on DU.

6. Chuckles ....
I gotta admit ... its hard work bashing soldiers all day ....

ESPECIALLY my nieces and nephews who joined the service before BOOSH became the head weenie (or was that weenie-head ???) .... I especially love/bash them .... NOT !

I appreciate the soldiers, I despise the GOP ....

We BASH the idiots in power, who pretend we 'hate america' because we dissent of THEIR view ....

12. Well they damn sure need our charity, as they are being fed rotten
meat! Mega barf alert! Army Awards Bonus to Halliburton for Supply Work --The U.S. Army said on Thursday it had given bonuses to Texas company Halliburton for its logistical work in Kuwait and Afghanistan but had not yet decided whether to give a performance-based bonus for disputed dining services to troops. <*See: Contractor served troops dirty food in dirty kitchens --Sunday, Dec 14, 2003 --The Pentagon repeatedly warned contractor Halliburton-KBR that the food it served to US troops in Iraq was "dirty," as were as the kitchens it was served in, NBC News reported on Friday. Halliburton-Kellogg Brown and Root's promises to improve "have not been followed through," according to a Pentagon report that warned "serious repercussions may result" if the contractor did not clean up. The Pentagon reported finding "blood all over the floor," "dirty pans," "dirty grills," "dirty salad bars" and "rotting meats ... and vegetables" in four of the military messes the company operates in Iraq, NBC said, citing Pentagon documents. The report came as Dictator George W. Bush fended off Pentagon reports that Halliburton-KBR overcharged US$61 million for gasoline it sold the military in Iraq. Dick Cheney ran Halliburton for five years until becoming vice pResident.>

than anywhere else. We just don't flaunt it, because it would appear to be similar to the actions of the many self-righteous right-wing assholes out there.

14. My nephew is on his second tour in Iraq, he was stop lossed.
he was also in Afghanistan...did i mention he's a democrat? So many of those soldiers joined up so they could find a way to pay for college. I hate the bashing. Bash the war not the soldier.

he can do about it. His wife is very ill, but too bad. It's not them...it is those who "lead" them. :hi:

20. And my thoughts are with your nephew. Everyday I log onto the CNN
website to look at the men and women we have lost...and it rips me up. Everyone should be forced to start their day by looking at the faces of both the civilians and the soldiers their (admins) lies have cost.

over 9/11 and the tactics used to con the poorer classes into service, and then turn our backs on them. Many of these are those same kids we saw...:(

30. Unfortunately, she also gets to take the fall for following those orders
but, on the other hand, another group of soldiers is in trouble for disobeying orders that would have gotten them killed! Talk about stupid.

29. Good for you!
My brother said that when they got their care packages it made them feel so much better. He said "Wow! All the American junk food that could possibly be shipped without going bad!" He was deployed at xmas, so he got some movies and video games from my parents to help him pass the time on the sub.
