I survived a Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament
This morning, my son went to his first one at a Toys R Us. I spent two hours wandering around the store. He did OK, I guess (I don't know much of anything about it). He got a pin that says he's a member of a dueling league (or something), and a card. They were very unorganized, had one guy running the whole thing, set it up in the breakroom, which is small. The guy admitted that they didn't expect such a big turnout.

2. I was going to, but the damn room was so small
There wasn't room. There were parents sitting everywhere on the floor in the immediate area. He's been dueling his friends for a while now (over a year), this was his first taste of dueling people that he doesn't know. For an Aspie, I was impressed that he even wanted to go.

4. It seems a little more involved than that
You have to summon shit, combine shit, sacrifice shit.

The first kid that he played was not up to speed, apparently. Ever time the kid put down a card, my kid was arguing that he did something wrong. The poor guy running the deal was probably glad to see it all be over. (I was peeking in the door from time to time!)
