2. I really think it is a personality type

I think we have all seen this behavior in other areas of life - work and school. People using the social setting to garner attention and then turn themselves into victims by accusing people of some kind of transgression.

It is more often found among teen-age girls.
It is a sure bet it will happen again.

It must have happened between early December and a few weeks ago, when I took a needed break from politics after the letdown of November 2. I didn't visit DU at all.

Can't say I'm shocked or disappointed or will miss her. She seemed to be on a perpetual high horse, even threatening to sue DUers who were on her side, after they innocently used the term "BBV clean up crew" to ask DUers to kick threads regarding questionable election practices/results.

Then there was an absurd claim of trashed election results, or something like that, when she confronted an election official, along with a camera crew, somewhere in Florida in the aftermath of November 2. She wrote this dramatic account and the thread was greeted with wild applause and several hundred replies, but my handicapping instinct told me it was probably pure self-glorifying bullshit. The scenario she reported didn't sound feasible at all, but no one asked any relevant skeptical questions.

of her own accord. was tombstoned and after it was discovered she had been playing at being a double agent on that tiny site devoted to trashing us. what fun for her.
