Poll question: Who's looking forward to the 2008 primaries? |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-27-05 03:22 PM by Bleachers7
Hillary Sucks! No, Kerry sucks! No, Edwards sucks! No, Warner sucks more! No, Clark sucks and can control your mind and give you bitch tits.
:nuke:
BTW, the latest accusation against Clark on DU is that he wants to consolidate power and become the next Napoleon.

We'll have a better idea of how things are going to play out.

3. A colleague up in Indiana mentions via email that -- |
|
-- he believes the Republicans face an impending crisis among their ranks.
The moderates and "liberal" Republicans -- Olympia Snowe for example -- are uneasy about the neocon shift in foreign policy and don't like the nutcase far-right Christians at all.
The "Wall Street Republicans" are MORE than uneasy about the way BuchCo manages money. They would prefer a pro-business Democrat and not a spend-it-like-a-drunken-sailor Republican. Since they write a lot of big checks, the checks they write for political contributions might very well go to more Democratic candidates in 08.
The Far Right itself is at once drunk with delusions of their "power" over American institutions because they "own" the Republican Party AND just now realizing that they've been had & that Dubya and Dick are not terribly interested in advancing their agenda after all. It was just pre-2004 sweet talk to get them in the back seat of the car. They aren't going to like it much and may run a splinter conservative campaign to avenge their "betrayal."
My friend is an iconoclast, but his handle on demographics is mighty keen.

Probably more like Washington, or possibly Old Hickory (though I hope he'd have a better attitude towards Native Americans than either of them).
As the Clarkistas continue their inexorable drive towards total control of DU and all in contains, the attacks from the other points of view will increase and become more hysterical. So it goes...

I just love it when we Democrats forget our common goals and shared values, and focus instead on wedge issues. :eyes:

8. i look forward to the Republican Primary |
|
i'm thinking i might stay out of the Democratic Primary all together or at least not as closely involved as i was with Kerry last year. i might do some volunteer work but nothing that involves getting into an argument with other Democrats.
i might infiltrate the Republican Primary some way and cause some infighting among the various candidates. i hope some extremist types like Gary Bauer run to provide some entertainment.

They are all nuts. They're going to kill eachother. Then again, they like to control everything. Thr RNC might push their guy while trying to shut out everyone else.
