This is probably my favorite period in Eric Clapton's carrer. Clapton definitely is a musician for the ages. I certainly like a lot of his material from various points in his carrer. He did have his share of weak albums as a solo artist. A few in the 70's, a few in the 80's and I didn't like Pilgrim much. But I would love to get "Me and Mr. Johnson".

Some great acoustic blues and some not bad electric interpretations as well. I agree Pilgrim was a total washout, but still Clapton is one of the major influences in my own guitar style. Another great blues CD of his is "From the Cradle" (much more electric than "Me and Mr. Johnson").

I have it. It is really good. I have heard a couple songs from "Me and Mr. Johnson". "If I had possession over Judgement Day", and "Sweet Home Chicago". I also have a greatest hits for Robert Johnson collection.
