Who else has snow right now?
I'm in the Chicago area and it's so depressing to look out the windown and face the prospect of cleaning off my car and trudge through the slush to get to work.

When will it end? It's March 1. I want spring NOW, dammit!!!

5. South Bend, IN
Had about 4-5 inches over night. Snowfall continues. White-out conditions intermittently. Combination of Lake Effect and storm system snows. It normally takes me 20-30 mins to get to work. This morning it took almost an hour. I am sitting about 1/2 mile from the Michigan/Indiana state line in my office looking out over a meadow. There's a forest about 2 football fields from my window and I've only been able to see it twice this morning.

Crossing my fingers for a snow day.

2. Nashville Tennessee area- we are getting dumped on!
There must be 1/8th of an inch on the ground, all the schools are closed and the grocers are having a run on bread and milk!

We are the most pitiful state when it comes to winter. If there is a flake in the sky they close all the schools. People rush out and buy "supplies" but I have never seen the grocers close due to weather.

I believe if this town got the kind of snow Buffalo gets, we would all be dead.

12. No, I think it is worse here in the Atlanta area.
Even if the weatherman hints at snow, the stores shelves are cleaned out of milk and bread.

13. You aren't kidding about folks here...
...think buying an SUV somehow makes them invunerable to weather.

Strange that most of the vehicles you see flipped in the median or running off the road into guardrails ARE SUVs.

Sun came out briefly in the Madison area, already all but melted what was covering the yard now.

14. That's the only saving grace
Whatever comes down now doesn't stick around for long.

3. We have about 2 inches in Northern Virginia
we were a bit south of where the big Nor'Easter got going, but 2 inches is enough snow to parilyze the D.C. area for hours.

I went out and cleaned off my car a little while ago.

I took this picture yesterday - you can see my poor little pansys trying to make it out through the snow.

7. We got 4-5 inches overnight in Michigan
It took me about 1 hour 15 minutes to get to work (30 miles)

I am grateful to be here safely!

And I could really use a drink :P
Driving in the snow is really stressful. Ugh. And we are supposed to get another 2-4 inches before I have to drive home.
Winter is almost over. Right?

And it's still coming down, fast and furious! There's little hope until the weekend! It seems like the whole state is closed! Enough, already!:grr:

Not a whole lot, but just enough to mess up the driving during rush hour in some areas. Most of it has melted now.

30 miles northwest of Boston, MA. We've had enough of this, thank you. Time for those damned crocuses to start popping up through the snow.
