Anyone hear Senators Snowe and Nelson interviewed on NPR?

This morning? Two things got to me. Nelson mentioned that he rode with Bush when he was visiting Nebraska. He said Bush talked about the college world series and a bunch of other trivial matters. And eventually spoke about Social Security reform. I'll bet he didn't even discuss it.

The second thing was that Rove told him "Either we reform SS now, or we get rid of both Nelsons and then pass it." He commented that the American people deserve better than an administration that threatens elected officials to achieve their goals.

What a bunch of assholes. Does Georgie always have to get his way? What the hell is up with that?

1. I listened to it - it was quite good!

I like how Snowe addmitted that of all the letters about SS she's gotten, it was like 5000 against the proposal, and a bit more than 100 in favor.

And don't forget that Shrubbie also spent time with Nelson trying to get the nickname thing ironed out.
