This Morning I Woke Up To The Sounds Of BIRDS Outside My Window...
YAY!

Even though it's still winter, still cold, still snow on the ground... the days are getting noticibly longer and the birds are starting to migrate north again!

Spring is coming! It won't be long now!

That is all.

3. Skating rink at the end of the driveway
We have two huge snow mounds at the end of the driveway and, now, every morning we have a large sheet of ice in between them....

That's a sure sign of approaching Spring.

Why?

Because the angle of the sun is higher in the sky and even though the air temp is below freezing, the suns warming rays honeycomb the snow banks and the melted snow runs off into the gutter during the day and then promptly refreezes in the dark, cold night...

Spring can't be far off.

4. Yes, the birds are here in Maryland
and so is the @#$%#@! tree pollen.

Sneeze, wheeze, cough, choke, hack, wheeze.

Ahhh, the sweet air of spring.

And yes... the pollen is pretty bad here too. My car turns hazy yellow/green every spring. Lovely!

6. You're lucky, we've had a car alarm serenading us all week
An SUV with California plates and a hypersensitive alarm system has been parked all week across the street. Every time a bus goes by, the alarm kicks off. HONK HONK HONK HONK! x(
